About AgniShield

Building fire resilience for dense, vibrant communities

AgniShield is being shaped with insights from dense neighbourhoods across India, where every minute saved can protect hundreds of lives. We are combining low-cost IoT devices, predictive analytics, and community protocols to enable faster, calmer responses to fire hazards.

Mission

Deliver reliable early-warning to communities where fire trucks can’t reach in time, blending technology with grassroots action.

Problem

Indian cities witness multiple fire incidents daily in informal settlements, often detected late due to narrow lanes, crowded rooftops, and delayed reporting.

Solution

Edge intelligence nodes are being engineered to relay smoke, heat, and gas anomalies to a cloud dashboard and SMS alerts for rapid community response.

Towards a launch-ready MVP

We are polishing the core experience before large-scale deployment. Explore what is ready today and where we are inviting collaborators.

Hardware-first MVP

Dust-resistant enclosure, dual sensing, and OTA firmware pipeline ready for small-batch manufacturing.

Firebase demo backend

Realtime database stream + Firestore submission flow so stakeholders can experience alert lifecycles before rollout.

Co-design partners wanted

Inviting civic bodies, NGOs, and CSR teams to shape the deployment playbook and localisation roadmap with us.

What sets AgniShield apart

Each planned deployment will include community training, responder drills, and access to a triage dashboard that supports decision making in the first 10 minutes of a fire incident.

Deployment support (in planning)

  • • Site survey and risk mapping
  • • Volunteer training for response drills
  • • Integration with ward control rooms
  • • Analytics reports for CSR impact assessment

Co-created with responders

Incubated with fire brigade veterans, ward officers, and community volunteers across major Indian metros.

Affordable at scale

Hardware bill of materials under ₹2,900 per node with locally sourced components and open firmware.

Data for policy

Aggregated heatmaps highlight high-risk pockets, helping urban planners and CSR partners invest in targeted fire safety upgrades.
